I think the past year I claimed I was going to restore all sort of old content. Where is it? Unfortunately I’ve been forgetting about it. I just jump in something new (comic, game or illustration) and barely have time to look back, and the more the time passes, the less I feel like doing it.
Well, I’ve been very busy these months so I think it’s a good time to restore some of the past. Wings of Will is one of the comics that still receives plenty of good comments. That’s very remarkable considering it must be at least 3 years since I wrote it. I’ve underestimated the amount of new visitors that are just reading it for the first time every moth, so I’ve gathered some of the promotional and conceptual artwork I released back then in this new Wings of Will gallery.
Yeah, besides technique related, I also was expecting to create project related galleries (Incoming Storm, Wings of Will, Fall of 21XX, etc). If I find something new, I’ll add it there.
Have fun.
The Time Travel/Chibi Wars finally are over. Just in time for the launch of Rockman Rockman. Well, these pages were penciled somewhere in January. They were going to be just three, but new ideas arised during my job, so I end up drawing them as well.
Instead of publishing the whole thing at once, I preferred to do it weekly for the sake of some cheap updates, ha ha. But seriously, once drawn I started to draft new projects, yet every new week I couldn’t help to think Oh, I have to upload that new strip, but come on, this is not even funny anymore. I should upload everything once and for all so I can redeem myself quickly moving to new stuff. But wait a second, if it was funny for me a month ago, probably it’s just me who has seen it too much.
I guess the latter was true because the response has been very positive every week.
So, now this little comic can be seen in the comic section (yeah, I still need to add the entry), so it won’t be buried and lost in my gallery as I’ll keep updating it. And no, no way I’m getting in a constant update rate like other sites, too much things to explore to enslave myself to a webcomic.
Thanks for all the kind comments.
Bobman says don’t be sour and enjoy his new game.
I’ve been so busy with the rigorousness of the recent backend update that I’ve forgotten to thank everyone for all the support during 2005. Special thanks to Valk for hosting this site during all these years, thanks to all the artists who have sent me their fan art, and thanks to everyone who keeps coming here. Your interest motivates me to keep researching and improving.
This page looks a bit empty, so let’s list here some of the past updates.
Fall of 21XX is my take of the MMX gameplay with my engine. I added some optimizations in this version, but then I decided to code new things in new, lighter projects.
With the advent of Flash 8 I started to experiment with its new features in this Game Engine Demo, expanding the flexibility of my engine.
I also published the Vile demo. In this experiment I was able to expand the map model, giving properties to tiles, and achieving much richer visuals. Also, the melee nature of Vile’s ride armor was implemented nicely. It’s been a great foundation for future projects.
Lastly I managed to fully rescan and translate to Spanish Madness in Red, source of many of my most popular characters.
Though these have been very rewarding projects, even for my professional life, I can’t help to note that I could have done a lot more if I weren’t reluctant about getting a new PC for my home where I create most of the site’s content.
Since I was able to do all the critical PC-related activities in my job, I just didn’t stop to think about it, until my old good PC finally died somewhere in October. Now things are different, I got a new PC a couple of months ago, I started to research again and now I’m interested in new things that I want to try and experiment for the site. So, I really expect 2006 to be a better year for all my visitors.
In the meantime, don’t forget to keep an eye on the right column. It always features the latest artwork uploaded to the gallery. It’s very relieving to have all of this automated, otherwise, I’d go nuts with so many pages and files. Happy new year 2006.
Sorry for the downtime for those who noted it. I’ve made plenty of changes on the site, but the major changes happened in the backend, this is, the software used to run this site. I took care to make everything look as usual, so probably you won’t note any change. For me this means better administration tools, ease to update, more time to focus on content instead of managing files. Read more »
