Impressive. You sneaked this one out quietly among your old pictures, IRA - it deserves more attention than that. It's one of the few pictures where you've captured a distinct sense of scale to the scenery, not only only in terms of geometric perspective, but in lighting perspective as well. The line of tanks accents the atmosphere of war, and the flag is one of those important motifs that are often sorely forgotten by fans. It really sets the mood, and it marks this pic as one of my favourites from you.

Thanks. Though the shading and perspective were heavily based on that reference pic. The scene was too good to not give it a try.

I love the sombre, foreboding tone of this picture. It reminds me of the old b/w photographs of WWII, which makes the scene that more poignent. It's also sad too - planting their flags upon the tallest towers, but we know it's simply doomed ...

This reminds me of that classic WWII pic of American soldiers raising a flag on Iwo Jima. Great job, IRA!
